Questions

How do I open a location from a QR code?

The camera app returns the location text, such as geo:48.2082,16.3738. It does not open a map. You can copy the text into a maps app yourself.

Does the geo: format work on iPhone?

This page does not claim that every phone opens a geo: link. The camera app returns the text either way.

Should I use coordinates or a map link?

Coordinates are the geo: form. A map link is an ordinary web address. The camera app returns whichever text is in the symbol and does not choose a map.
